Andrea Oberto BAROLO DOCG
Description: Soft garnet red, warm spicy nose with floral overtones, good ripeness and complexity of body with a long, tannic finish. Andrea Oberto owns 8 hectares of perfectly exposed vineyards in the commune of La Morra . He uses organic farming methods with very hard pruning in winter and bunch thinning in the summer to reduce yields to no more than 5 or 6 bunches per vine in good vintages and 3 or 4 bunches in less good years. This equals just over 1 bottle of wine per plant in a good vintage. Oberto’s adoption of avant garde winemaking techniques and maturation exclusively in French oak means that all his wines have great elegance, suppleness and precision of fruit flavours. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau Palmer 3eme Cru Classe Margaux
Description: Available in Magnum bottles. The Palmer estate was created in the early 19th century by General Palmer, with the Pereire family building the present Chateau around 1856. The property now belongs to French, English and Dutch families. The perfect synergy between the soils and grape varieties explains Chateau Palmer's exquisite finesse. The grapes are picked only when very ripe and are carefully sorted in the vineyard so that only the ripest, healthiest ones go to be crushed. Merlot brings roundness and fruitiness, Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure, length and elegance while Petit Verdot imparts colour and body which all contributes to the end wine. Stainless steel tanks in the traditional truncated cone shape are ideal for extracting fruit and tannin. During blending, only the best vats are retained to be sold under the prestigious name of Chateau Palmer. Oak barrels . Gunzian gravel . "An outstanding success for the vintage...This is a layered, concentrated, yet surprisingly velvety-textured Palmer..." Parker, . The growth cycle got off to a good start in March after an especially mild and wet winter. Fortunately, the fairly cool weather in April eliminated the risk of mildew. Thanks to mild, very dry weather, flowering took place quickly and evenly in May and June, mid-flowering on June 2nd. After a cool and particularly rainy month of July, the véraison occured without any problems before a major storm hit on August 15th . The month of August was hot, but not excessively so. It was once again cool in September . The grapes were ideally ripe and healthy on the eve of the harvest. Sugar levels were high (12 x 75 cl)

Pascal Jolivet ATTITUDE Sauvignon Blanc Vins de Pays du Jardin de la France
Description: For several years, New Zealand has been crowned King of the World of Sauvignon Blanc, but in recent times the vignerons of the Loire have been fighting back. One of those at the forefront of the counter-attack is the dynamic Pascal Jolivet. If you've never tried any of Pascal's Sancerres or Pouilly Fumes, be assured that they are at once authentically Loire, while resolutely modern. Attitude is a new venture for him. The grapes come from vineyards within the Touraine AOC, but since Pascal chose to vinify them in his cellars in Sancerre, the wine has to settle for a vin de pays designation. Those in search of fruit will find it here in abundance: gooseberries and citrus fruit in particular. Those looking for more complex notes will find overtones of nettles, flint and minerals. The overall impression is of drinkability mixed with elegance, a very satisfying combination.' (12 x 75 cl)

Paulinshof Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Spatlese
Description: The name Paulinshof derives from the St Paul’s church in Trier which owned vast areas of vineyards in the Mosel as far back as 936. Since 1969 Weingut Paulinshof has been managed by Klaus and Christa Jungling who make a fresh, perfectly balanced wine from the top class riesling grape. Starting with 2 hectares the Junglings have expanded the vineyard area to almost 8 hectares, with the most recent parcel purchased in the famous Brauneberg area. The favourable southerly aspect of the Brauneberger vineyards and the iron and slate soils help produce wines with great elegance and finesse. Great quality with intense classic Riesling fruit character and the crisp acidity expected from the best of the Mosel.
