Saint Clair is owned by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, two of Marlborough's earliest vineyard pioneers, who planted their first vines in 1978. Grapes were originally supplied to local wine companies. However, a desire to extend the quality achieved in the vineyard through to the finished wine, led to the establishment of Saint Clair Estate Wines. The Saint Clair name originates from the main vineyard property, which was originally settled by the 'Sinclair' family. James Sinclair built one of the first homes in Blenheim and was closely associated with the development of the early town. With the passage of time the name reverted to the original, Saint Clair. The Saint Clair label, designed by Graphic Designer Tony Ibbotson of Sydney, depicts the golden glow of the hidden Marlborough valley with the halo silhouetted above. The Tuatara Bay Pinot Noir is a modern fruity styled wine. (12 x 75 cl)

Seresin Estate Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough
Description: This wine is a blend of fruit from our vineyards with varying soil characteristics. Fruit sourced from the Estate vineyard on the upper terraces encompassed five parcels of varied Waimakiriri type soils of alluvial origin with free-draining basalt pebbles. This was supplemented by portions from the Tatou and Raupo vineyards, where the soils are a mixture of alluvial shingles with slightly higher clay contents. Indigenous yeasts and a selection of cultured yeasts were utilised for fermentation, for added complexity and texture. A small percentage of the blend was fermented in older French barriques to add depth, which when combined with regular batonnage, contributes a yeasty creaminess to fill the mid-palate. The indigenous yeast, barrel-fermentation, and extended lees contact are all used to contribute complexity, texture, and integration to this wine. (12 x 75 cl)

Southbank Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc NZ
Description: TASTING NOTES Fresh, fruit-driven wine, typical of the highly acclaimed Marlborough region and has pronounced passionfruit and gooseberry flavours with a touch of honeysuckle. With green straw hues, the wine is finished with a crisp refreshing acidity and is a delicious, easy-drinking summer wine perfectly matched to any alfresco dining. VINIFICATION Gently crushed and pressed to minimise skin contact, the resulting juice was settled overnight at cool temperatures with the aim of taking clean, clear juice to ferment. The juice was then inoculated with cultured yeast selected for its ability to enhance the varietal characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc. 100% cool fermented in stainless steel to ensure the maximum retention of that unmistakable Marlborough Sauvignon flavour. Following fermentation the wine was given a light fining and is filtered prior to bottling. MATURATION The wine was bottled soon after processing to retain its freshness and distinctive Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc character. (6 x 75 cl)
