Fonseca 1994 Vintage Port
Description: In exceptional years Fonseca will make the decision to declare a classic vintage port. Only the finest wines, selected for their great intensity, depth and aging potential, are bottled under these vintage labels. On average this happens three times a decade. Renowned for their voluptuous rich fruit, mouthfilling density, tannic structure and grip, they are wines of breed, balance and great complexity. The Fonseca Guimaraens house style is one of richness and warmth, with a lush fruit intensity and a structure of both dimension and finesse. More voluptuous than massive, Fonseca Ports are coveted for their sumptuous yet refined body and great longevity. The backbone of Fonseca vintage ports are the wines drawn primarily from Fonseca's three quintas, all located in Cima Corgo: Quinta de Santo Antonio, Quinta do Cruzeiro and Quinta do Panascal. Hold on to your hat. This is the best Fonseca since 1977, and it's probably even better than that classic vintage-more like the breathtaking 1948. Mind-blowing, with masses of color, aroma and fruit flavor. Smells like fermenting berries, boasting loads of crushed grape, violet and berry character. Big, full-bodied and very sweet, with tons of tannins and a sweet finish. Tannic and huge, it's a long-term, great Port

Cockburn's 1991 Vintage Port
Description: Cockburn's is one of the classic Port Houses, established in 1815 and first established its vineyard holdings in the steep, rugged beautiful hillsides of the Douro Superior. They own various Quintas on these spectacular hillsides including Quinta dos Canais and Quinta do Tua. Cockburn's is one of the thirteen members of the legendary Factory House, a private club in Oporto established for the Gentleman of the Port Trade, over 250 years ago. The lovely building was designed by John Whitehead, a scientist and mathematician who became famous for the weighty granite staircase he built, which has stood with no support since 1790! The Factory House still holds their traditional Wednesday Lunches. A harmonious wine. Good, deep purple colour and fragrant raspberries and earthy aromas. Full-bodied yet reserved, with fine, full tannins and a long, delicious finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Adriano Ramos Pinto 1995 Vintage Port
Description: A deep purple in color, with intense and lively aromas of pepper, cedar and cinnamon. Smooth and silky in the mouth, with initial flavors of black currant, red currant and clove, followed by ripe fruit and chocolate notes. The wine has a strong attack and dense tannins that give the wine excellent structure. Perfect balance and persistence make this a remarkable vintage.
