Orlando JACOBS CREEK Cabernet Sauvignon South Australia
Description: The history of Jacob's Creek begins with the settlement of South Australia. Colonel William Light who surveyed the city of Adelaide in 1836 made his way north west in 1837 to the Barossa Valley, which he named after a famous English naval victory at Barossa in the south of Spain. When William Jacob first surveyed the Barossa Region in 1839, he and his brother John took up land in the Hundred of Moorooroo. Moorooroo is derived from an aboriginal word meaning ‘meeting of two waters’. The two waters involved were the North Para River and creek, which fed into it. The creek was later renamed Jacob’s Creek after William Jacob, while the Jacob brothers' small cottages still stand, overlooking Jacob's Creek. Today, more than 80% of Jacob's Creek is now enjoyed in over 60 countries around the world

Penfolds BIN 407 Cabernet Sauvignon South Australia
Description: Aged for 13 months in French and American oak barrels. Deep, brick red. Predominantly blackcurrant with a hint of tomato leaf, combined with wild raspberry and blackberry aromas, and a subtle background of spicy, smoky oak. Generous, ripe, blackcurrant jam with a suggestion of praline matched by pronounced, yet not aggressive tannins, leading to a fruit sweetness and balanced oak firmness. Well-integrated and already accessible upon release, Bin 407 is certainly one for the cellar. It will gain complexity and evolve beautifully in the medium term.

Penfolds BIN 707 Cabernet Sauvignon Australia
Description: Fermentation is completed and followed by maturation in new American oak barrels for 15 months. Deep garnet colour. Opens with barrel-ferment richness wrapped in vibrant, cassis fruit. Left to breath, complex berry and cassis Cabernet aromas are released, on a background of cedary oak and smokey nuances. Full-bodied, with dense layers of tight, saturated Cabernet fruit. A formidable concentration of dark cherry and raspberry fruit flavours, with hints of chocolate which combine to create a rich and expansive mid-palate. Stylish, oak handling combined with a backbone of firm, yet finely grained tannins, supports a lingering finish. Will reward cellaring for 5-10 years. Decanting is recommended.
