Description: This wine is typically bright, fresh and fruit-driven. Ruby-red in colour with purple hints, there are floral notes and red berry fruits on the nose. The palate is full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft, ripe tannins. Blue-berries, raspberries and lavender define the palate with an attractive freshness on the finish. Dominique Morel has 12 hectares of vineyard in Beaujolais and the average age of his vines is 70 years, something that accounts for the intensity of his wines with an average yield of 55 hl/ha. This Fleurie vineyard has poor, stony and granite soils; it faces south-west and covers 2.5 hectares.
