Chateau Prieure-Lichine LE BLANC DU CHATEAU PRIEURE-LICHINE Bordeaux
Description: Made from Sauvignon Balnc and Semillon, this is a fruity and acidic wine with notes of fresh herbs, mushroom and thirst quenching citrus fruits. This is truly a voluptuous wine. Originally part of the vineyards of the Benedictine Priory on Cantenac, and in fact, the chais at Prieure still contain part of its original structure dating from the 16th century. Ownership changed several times after the Revolution until the estate was bought in 1951 by the late wine authority, Alexis Lichine. From that time, M. Lichine expanded the vineyards and completely renovated the chais and the chateau itself. The estate was owned by Alexis' son, Sacha until June of 1999 when it was sold to the Ballande company.
