The original Chateau was built in the 16th Century but since 1990 it has been owned by Yves and Stephanie Vatelot. Chateau de Reignac sits atop the highest point in the parish of Saint Loubes, overlooking the 135 hectare estate with a single 80 hectare block of vines. This wine is a blend dominated by Merlot with a little Cabernet Sauvignon and is made from vines over 25 years old. From the vineyard to the winery great care is taken and it is finally aged 12 months in new and used oak barrels before being released. Saturated bright ruby coloured wine showing super ripe aromas of black cherry, licorice, minerals, tobacco and smoke. Lush, sweet and layered it has a very long finish with sweet broad tannins. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau Senailhac Bordeaux Superieur
Description: Tasting Note An elegant, medium-bodied claret that ticks all the boxes: ripe cassis, blackberry and plum fruit with silky tannins and fresh, mouthwatering acidity. Very smooth and easy to drink, it is proof that Bordeaux can really compete in the good value stakes. A bit about Chateau Senailhac A 100ha property surrounding the sort of impressive looking Chateau only found by the Gironde, Senailhac is classic Bordeaux and has benefited from a recent overhaul of the cellars and vineyards by owners GVG. The chateau dates backs from the early 18th century and takes it name from the noble Senailhac, a faithful servant of King Louis XV, who received the estate as payment for his position as a councillor at the Cour des Aides.
