Chateau Batailley 5eme Cru Classe Pauillac
Description: Deriving its name from a battle fought here between the British and French six centuries ago, this popular wine has not disappointed its legion of fans. The wonderfully ripe Cabernet Sauvignon is softened by 28% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. A rich, fruity nose is followed by a palate with Batailley's characteristic weight and reassuringly dense, textured red and black fruit, creamy oak and a very long finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau Batailley 5eme Cru Classe Pauillac
Description: Lovely glossy colour, which still has a very youthful hue. A open and attractive nose, with mineral, iron-edged bloody fruit. Undeniably left bank claret. Full bodied and slightly austere on entry, with a firmly structured presence showing plenty of peppery tannin through the midpalate and finish. Slightly soft acidity but no lack of grip, and drinks well with food because of that. Chateau Batailley, apart from the quality of its wine, has another claim to fame (6 x 75 cl)

Chateau Duhart Milon 4eme Cru Classe Pauillac
Description: The Rothschild family acquired Chateau Duhart-Milon, a 4th Cru in the 1855 classification from the Castejas of Pauillac, in 1962. The property was named after the Sieur of Duhart, gun-runner to Louis XIV, who owned this land, and from the name of the little hamlet of Milon which stands on a knoll separating this vineyard from that of Chateau Lafite. Since the acquisition, a lot of work has been done to re-establish the name and the reputation of this cru classe: replanting and developing the vineyard; building new modern chais and cuvier; paying strict attention to the viticulture as to the vinification.. The fine wine from Chateau Duhart-Milon is often described as a classic version of Pauillac appellation. It has a distinguished and reserved character. The courtier Abraham Lawton noted as early as 1815 that 'it has firm taste, a fine color, and a pronounced seve'. This strong personality of Chateau Duhart-Milon remains accurate today. (12 x 75 cl)
