Chateau Langoa-Barton 3eme Cru Classe Saint Julien
Description: Chateau Langoa-Barton was the first of two estates bought by Hugh Barton in the 1820s, the other being Leoville-Barton. Since this time the Estates have remained with the family and today it is run by Anthony Barton and is assisted by his daughter. Great care is taken in the 15 ha gravel soil and clay sub-soil vineyard, that produces the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small amount of Cabernet Franc grapes used in the blend of this wine. Once in the winery traditional methods are adopted and finally the wine is aged 20 months in oak before being released. This is a mature red coloured wine showing ripe dark fruit aromas. Well made with good concentration it is an elegant wine with a long finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau Leoville Barton 2eme Cru Classe Saint Julien
Description: One of five St Julien second growth properties, in the 1855 classification, Chateau Leoville is referred to as a Super-Second, a chateau working at a quality level equal or approaching that of a first growth. Chateau Leoville Barton history can be traced back to 1722, when Irishman Thomas Barton left his native land for foreign shores, and subsequently settled in Bordeaux. Today, the estate is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon , the remainder Merlot and a little Cabernet Franc, reflecting the classic, Cabernet-dominated wine produced at Leoville Barton. Oak barrels are used in the 18 month ageing process with 50% new each year. Oak barrels are used in the 18 month ageing process with 50% new each year, then the wine is fined and filtered prior to bottling. Classic, elegant and restrained black fruit based nose, the soft and round palate is imbued with cassis character of the fruit. The soft richness is underpinned by a good structure of dry tannins and balanced acidity to provide the wine with a long finish. Available in Original Wooden Case. (12 x 75 cl)
