Brokenwood CRICKET PITCH Red South Eastern Australia
Description: The Cricket Pitch ‘CP’ Cabernet, Merlot and Shiraz is a typical ‘South Eastern Australian’ blend of 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, and 25% Shiraz , sourced from premium vineyards in McLaren Vale and Padthaway in South Australia, as well as Beechworth in Victoria. Although a drought year across most of Australia’s regions, careful handling has ensured that the ‘CP’ Cabernet-Merlot-Shiraz displays the savoury characters and easy drinking style that are the hallmarks of the wine. Matured mostly in one to three year old American and French oak barrels for up to 18 months, the ‘CP’ Red is accessible on the palate, and has balance, length, and subtle oak flavours that support the fruit. The pristine character of the varieties shines through in the glass, from the slightly cedary notes of the Cabernet Sauvignon through to the soft, fruity richness of the Shiraz. (12 x 75 cl)
