Domaine Rene Monnier LE LIMOZIN Meursault
Description: The Monnier family have owned this estate for over 10 generations and this wine is created from grapes of 'Le Limozin' vineyard in Meursault. Carefully attention in the vineyard, including attentive pruning, is used to limit production and increase the quality, concentration and flavour of the grapes. This attention has produced a rich, full, classic Burgundy wine that has benefited from spending time in the barrel, of which 33% is new each year. The style of this wine is created through the use of oak and stainless steel to produce wines with the ultimate flavour but not needing long ageing. A typical Chardonnay it is a rich yellow almost golden colour with an intense Chardonnay nose of butter and hazelnuts. Good balancing acidity and full bodied palate, it is showing fine long layered lemony fruit and well integrated oak leading to a long enjoyable finish. (12 x 75 cl)
