Domaine des 2 Anes PREMIER PAS Corbieres AC

A well structured wine balanced by good tannins. Drink now to enjoy the lively and youthful fruit. A bright clour. Rich aroma of cherry and redcurrant followed by a multitude of fresh red summer fruits. Soft tannins, fresh and well balanced. Unpretentious, yet delicat and fresh. The winemakers at Domaine Des Deux Anes gained a wealth of experience working in the Jura, Macon and Beaujolais regions before focusing on the enormous potential of The Languedoc. It took Domaine des Deux Anes one year of research to uncover an exceptional vineyard at the Peyriac de Mer, in the Corbieres just 10 km. south of Narbonne. The vineyard is situated on the hillside overlooking the salt lagoons and the sea, and Domaine des Deux Anes also built a state of the art winery which encompasses the best of the new and the old. It has temperature controlled vats as well as traditional oak vinification barrels, all in an air-conditioned environment. The vines are privilege to an exceptional amount of sunlight and low rainfall; the deep soils enabling the plants to withstand any drought. We have decided to limit ourselves to 20 ha, as our is a hands on approach, with attention to detail. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaines Gerard Bertrand DOMAINE DE VILLEMAJOU Corbieres-Boutenac
Description: The terroir of Corbieres Boutenac is composed of decomposed clay and limestone soil, covered with pebbles and gravel, allowing a long lifespan for the vines. The Domaine de Villemajou comprises 90 hectares of south and south-east facing vineyards in the terroir of Boutenac, renowned as the best area of the Corbieres appellation. The clay and limestone gravelly stones heat up in the daytime and then reflect the heat onto the vines at night. Winemaking on the domaine dates back to Roman times when it was named the Villa Major meaning the big villa which then housed the emperor Avitus. It is the oldest winemaking property in the Corbieres where pieces of Roman vases and other antiquities are frequently dug up in the vineyards. The varieties are old Carignan , Grenache , Syrah and Mourvedre while the grapes are picked by hand and placed in cement vats for carbonic maceration and thereafter into oak for maturation. Black fruits dominate as berries and cherries, backed up by liquorice, vanilla, balsamic aromas and masses of sweet spice. (6 x 75 cl)

Chateau de Campuget 1753 de CHATEAU de CAMPUGET Costieres de Nimes AC
Description: Chateau de Campuget, which belongs to the Dalle family since 1941, is producing great A.O.C. Costieres de Nimes wines. The vineyard of 160 hectares is situated in the heart of the A.O.C. area, between Nimes and Arles, a few kilometres from the right side of the Rhone river. The main characteristic of the 'terroir' is its soil , formed by an accumulation of round stones that had been rolled by many overflows of the Rhone river during the quaternary era. It allows the grapevines to establish their roots deep enough to find the water they need for growing. At the same time they profit of the sunny Mediterranean climate, essential for the good maturation of the grapes. Although equipped with stainless-steel tanks and modern tools, Chateau Campuget wines are made and matured in a traditional way. From its own bottling-line to the air-conditioned warehouse, it can control the quality of the wines from the vineyard to the bottle. This Syrah wine is the newest in the range and is named after the date on which wine growing is first mentioned on the Property according to a document retained by the Dalle family. (6 x 75 cl)
