Domaine Andre Perret CHERY Condrieu Blanc
Description: Andre Perret's winery is located in Verlieu-Chavanay, a small village just south of Vienne. He succeeded his father in 1982 with an estate of just half a hectare and today has 8 hectares spread through the Condrieu and St Joseph appellations. Recognised as one of the top producers in the area, Andre Perret's wines have that bit of extra concentration. He also somehow manages to combine this concentration with a great deal of finesse as befits a man whose unassuming personality consistently earns the respect of his peers. Condrieu Chery, with its golden yellow colour, balances elegance with strength. Its strong nature comes from the exceptional exposure of the hillside and the age of the vine stocks. Its bouquet of citrus fruits, violets and peach-apricot flavours gives it a rich and full character. (12 x 75 cl)

Two thirds of the production is aged in stainless steel vats and a third in wood for 12 months before release. This has produced a sophisticated pale yellow coloured Viognier. Very aromatic and fresh, featuring peach and apricot flavours this is a complex and enjoyable wine through to the long finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Cuilleron LA PETITE COTE Condrieu
Description: It has taken Yves Cuilleron 10 years to establish himself as one of the most dynamic young winegrowers in the Northern Rhone. His bold wines move and impress aficionados by their deep combination of terroir and style, a style which combines concentration and elegance, the two words which best define a great wine. The Condrieu appellation is only 100 hectares in total of which Yves owns 8. This makes him a major player in an appellation which has 40 vineyard owners and in which only 20 producers make their own wine. The grapes for all of Cuilleron's Condrieu's are harvested by hand, and when you see the precipitous slopes of the appellation you can see why. All the wines are fermented in French oak barrels. A portion of the wine is then aged in oak while the remainder is transferred to tank to await the blending. This Viognier has pineapple and hay aromas with some by floral and herbaceous nuances. Juicy, light and fresh; a wine of modest size and depth, but one with good mineral spine and liveliness. Available in half bottles. (6 x 75 cl)

At the turn of the century a handful of vines growers entirely renovated this vineyard. The wines produced from the viognier grape variety, are exclusively white and are renowned for their bouquet of violets and apricots. As with all Cuillerons Condrieus the grapes for La Petite Cote are all harvested by hand and fermented in oak for 10 months. This wine is elaborated with a lot of fruity characters and freshness. Pineapple and hay aromas abound while there is some floral and herbaceous nuances. Juicy, light and fresh this is a wine of modest size and depth, but one with good mineral spine and liveliness.
