Description: The wine has ripe plum and liquorice aromas with white pepper and charred oak overtones. The fruit for this wine was harvested from the Deakin Estate vineyard in Red Cliffs, North West Victoria. Once in the winery this 100% Shiraz is fermented in a dozen different batches and then each submitted to slightly different maturation conditions. The components have then been manipulated to elicit complexity in the blend. Winemaker Phil Spillman considered: Colour: Medium-deep red.
