Generic Tasting Notes Clear-cut, decidedly fruity, with a distinct hint of sweet violets. Dry, pleasantly balanced, with a characteristic bitter backbone. Producer Notes The 'I Mastri Vernacoli' wines are produced from selected Trentino D.O.C fruit by Cantina Viticoltori S.C.a.r.l in Trento, one of the group of co-operatives that form Ca'Vit, which was established in 1957. Overall they make an extraordinary range of wines from correct, well-made and commercial varietals to some truly fine, single vineyard selection, individual specialities. To achieve this Ca'Vit's winemakers, technicians and vineyard managers oversee all areas of production, working closely with the growers' co-operative cellars to maximise quality of the grapes in the vineyard, the wines, and sales and marketing. About 80% of the total winemaking in Trentino takes place at the 14 growers' co-operative cellars associated to Ca'Vit. Vinification Vinification is carried out in contact with the skins and maceration on the pomace takes 6-7 days. A 6-8 month maturation period follows in order to maintain the freshness of the wine. Once stabilised, the wine is bottled. (12 x 75 cl)

Cavit I MASTRI VERNACOLI Pinot Grigio Trentino
Description: Generic Tasting Notes Straw yellow colour; intense nose with lovely floral notes; dry, fresh palate with great character and elegance. Vinification Traditional white wine vinification: the must is softly pressed to avoid the extraction of the natural rose colour from the skins. Fermentation follows with the use of selected yeasts at a constant temperature of about 20 degrees C. The wine is matured in stainless steel vats and stabilised. This is followed by cold sterilisation and bottling. (12 x 75 cl)

Mezzacorona Pinot Grigio RISERVA Trentino
Description: Cantine Mezzacorona Societa Cooperativa Agricola was founded in 1904 and was one of the first growers associations to be organised in Italy. It comprises 2,400 hectares of vineyards in Trentino and Alto Adige. All vineyards are cultivated in accordance with the 'Integrated Farm Management' policy, to obtain healthier products respecting the natural biological balance. Mezzacorona offers a comprehensive choice of DOC Trentino wines produced by the best oenologists within Gruppo Mezzacorona. Vinified at controlled temperature with refinement in barriques and barrels, the Mezzacorona wines exemplify one of the most well-known wine making traditions in the world. The grapes are hand-picked and delivered within a few hours to the cellar where they are then selected, immediately pressed, and sent to the maceration phase, done in the cold and with soft pressure. Finally, the wine is aged in oak. This Pinot Grigio is a light yellow colour with a complex fragrance of well-matured fruit, harmonised showing notes deriving from the refined wood. Santi SANTICO Cabernet Sauvignon DOC Trentino
Description: The Wine: deep bright ruby-red; intense, complex bouquet with hints of raspberry jam and a background of spices and traces of hay, eucalyptus and dried violet; clean, full, warm, well-balanced flavour with a fine aftertaste of fruits, liquorice and toasted hazelnuts, which lingers in the mouth. Vinification: the ripe grapes, picked in the middle of October are vinified by the traditional red wine method, with a long maceration ; the must ferments at 28-30ºC. Ageing: 80% of the wine is aged for 12 months in vats of Slavonian oak; the remainder stays 6 months in new barrels of American oak , very rich in aromatic substances. It then rests about 6 months in the bottle. Area: Hills of Arco di Trento Vine: Cabernet Sauvignon Grape. The Vineyard: favoured sites on the hills of Arco di Trento, north of Lake Garda, at 250 metres altitude. The vines are trained by the Pergola Trentina system, facing south-west, on alluvial, gravelly ground, with a yield of 100 quintals of grapes per hectare. (12 x 75 cl)
