The Hopler winery is located in Winden on the western banks of lake Neusiedl, in the Austrian province of Burgenland. The 24 hectares of cultivated vineyards face south east between the Leithagebirge hills and Lake Neusiedl. Hoplers' location is central to the character of the wine, and by creating a warm, humid microclimate the grapes of the highest quality flourish. In addition the contrasting soils of chalk, gravel and sand are rich in calcium, as well as in slate, contributing to the unique complexity of the wine. This dessert wine is only produced in certain years and this is a shining yellow gold colour with fine fruit, harmonious and well balanced on the palate with elegant texture.
