Produced from the three noble grape varieties of Champagne, this wine is a harmonious blend of 40% Chardonnay, to give finesse, elegance and delicacy, 35% Pinot Noir for structure and 25% Pinot Meunier for balance and for fruit. Description: Brilliant straw colour with copper highlights. Fine, persistent froth forming a noticeable ring. The nose is dominated by woodland flowers, apples, pears and above all, candied fruit. Rich and varied aromas, full of delicacy and subtlety. As wine opens up, pronounced hazelnut notes are evident. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, delicately sweet and well rounded, in full harmony with the complex aromas. Definite fresh fruit notes. The wine develops on a very silky structure. A fresh and assertive finish, boding well for this exquisite wine. Blend 43 % Pinot Noir 42 % Pinot Meunier 15 % Chardonnay Crus in the blend : Bassuet, Channes, Cuis, Férébrianges, Grauves, Hautvillers, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Venteuil. Cuvée des Moines does not undergo malolactic fermentation. (3 x 1.5 Litres)
