Domaine Francois Mikulski LES PORUZOTS 1er Cru Meursault
Description: Francois Mikulski has 8 hectares of vineyards in Pommard and Meursault, with new cellars directly behind the great Comte Lafon. These cellars are impressive and inside there are some 300 barrels, mostly new. While his wine style holds back on the use of new oak only using small proportions in the village and 1er Cru wines the result is a restrained wine with steely concentration and elegance. The Poruzots vineyard is a little lower than Genevrieres vineyard and closer to the village this wine is a typical Meursault great aromas and flavours of white fruit, spice and white flowers. The rich mineral style with great balancing acid follows through the complex finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Domaine Francois Mikulski Meursault AC
Description: Francois Mikulski has 8 hectares of vineyards in Pommard and Meursault, with new cellars directly behind the great Comte Lafon. These cellars are impressive and inside there are some 300 barrels, mostly new. While his wine style holds back on the use of new oak only using small proportions in the village and 1er Cru wines the result is a restrained wine with steely concentration and elegance. The Genevrieres vineyard is a mix of clay and chalk with vines over 35 years old, and as such the terrior is superbly reflected in this wine. This is a complex well balanced Chardonnay with aromas of spice and very ripe fruit which combine to produce a palate with intense flavours that are complex and support the long finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Domaine Fernand et Laurent Pillot LES CAILLERETS 1er Cru Meursault

This domaine began to make its name when Fernand started to make and bottle wine himself, and now with his son Laurent in charge, their star has been rising. Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux LES PERRIERES 1er Cru Meursault
Description: Jean-Michel Gaunoux has brought extraordinary energy and drive to the estate he took over in 1990 after having previously worked with his father Francois. The cellars are in Meursault and he now has 6 hectares of vines based in Puligny, Pommard and Volnay. Jean Michel Gaunoux has developed wine that are classically rich, stylish and opulent with intense balancing acidity a result of the deliberately low yields in the vineyards and hands-off approach to winemaking, with little racking and an extremely judicious use of new oak.
