Baron Philippe de Rothschild MOUTONCADET Reserve Graves Rouge Description: This wine is a deep, dark ruby colour with attractive highlights. It has a refined, nicely open nose that reveals aromas of morello cherry, vine peach and violet mingled with the flinty, mineral notes typical of the appellation. Substantial on the palate, it displays good body and a very gentle tannic structure. Its elegant and stylish tannins perfectly enfold in a wash of flavour, characterised by juicy fresh fruit, nectarine and a touch of liquorice. The expansive, rich and well-balanced finish displays fine length and considerable character.. Since 1933 Baron Philippe de Rothschild, located at Pauillac in the Medoc, has been motivated by a constant ambition: to make the world's finest wines, each in its own category, whether the chateaux wines for which it is responsible – the renowned Chateau Mouton Rothschild, a First Growth, and its distinguished lieutenants, Chateau Clerc Milon and Chateau d'Armailhac – or branded wines, like the famous MoutonCadet or the MoutonCadet Reserve range . Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA has also exported its know-how beyond Bordeaux: to the Pays d'Oc, with a range of varietal wines and, more recently, Domaine de Baron'arques; to California, with Opus One; and to Chile, with Almaviva. One of the key factors behind the company's undisputed success is the art of blending, which it practises with exceptional skill and this is reflected in the MoutonCadet Reserve range.
