Domaine Jean-Luc Joillot Pinot Noir Bourgogne
Description: Smokey bramble spice with the structure to be expected from this grower based in Pommard. Good depth of fruit and some evident tannin. Jean-Luc father died when he was very young and as a result the estate was held in trust for him until he was 21 years old. That was many years ago and today he uses traditional Burgundian methods, enthusiastically overseeing every aspect of the winemaking process. Recently he was named president of the Winemakers’ Association in Pommard.

Domaine Jean Luc Colombo LES MEJEANS Cornas
Description: The wines of Jean-Luc Colombo typically reflect an exuberance of fruit and depth of expession. Concentrated and precisely crafted, they resonate with authentic varietal character and thus entice the wine lover's palate. This wine comes from the assembling of old vines from various vineyard sites of the Cornas appellation. After a classical vinification with destemming, the wine is aged in oak for 18 months. Les Mejeans is a fine expression of the terroir and appellation of Cornas, while it may be cellared for some years or enjoyed younger while still on its fruit. The robe is a deep yet brilliant red while the nose is complex showing blackcurrants, chocolate, black fruits. A good solid, tannic structure shows through after a fairly supple attack leading to an enjoyable finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Jean-Luc Colombo LES FOROTS Cotes Du Rhone
Description: The wines of Jean-Luc Colombo typically reflect an exuberance of fruit and depth of expession. Concentrated and precisely crafted, they resonate with authentic varietal character and thus entice the wine lover's palate. The grapes are picked manually and transported to the winery in small cases. The bunches are then destemmed and lightly crushed before being vinified in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. The wine is finally matured spending 9 months ageing, 25% in oak barrels, before being bottled. An intense purple and shining colour Cotes du Rhone with aromas of violets, white flowers, spices and liquorice. The wine is harmonious with a fine structure on the palate and a good attack of small ripe fruits culminating in a good finish where notes of violets, liquorice and spices dominate. (12 x 75 cl)
