When tannin maturity and flavor development have reached their optimum stage the grapes are harvested. This fanaticism for ripeness is evident in the Franciscan Merlot, a wine that is plush, elegant and expresses remarkable concentrated fruit flavors with our hallmark supple tannins. Ruby red in colour with brilliant clarity and medium depth, this Merlot has deep, stone fruit aromas. Rich, lush and velvety the Merlot is showing flavours of fresh fruit, cherries, plums and blackberries that merge with light, toasty oak. Well balanced and structured, with a long finish this is a superb merlot. (12 x 75 cl)
