Louis Michel et Fils Grand Cru GRENOUILLES Chablis
Description: Domaine Louis Michel is a leading family owned vineyard in Chablis with a reputation for consistently and high quality on the 45 acre estate. Up until 1970 the wines were fermented and matured in oak barrels. By 1980 the oak was discarded for stainless steel and Domaine Louis Michel is now widely recognised as the prime exponents of unoaked Chablis in the region. The soils of the area are rich with Kimmeridgian limestone that provides the character for this wine. Vinified in stainless steel tanks with no barrel ageing, the objective is to make wines which reflect the distinctiveness of the vineyards from which they are produced. Hints of flowers in the fruity aromas this wine has good grip and depth with a long dry finish. (6 x 75 cl)

La Chablisienne Grand Cru LE FIEF DE GRENOUILLE Chablis
Description: This single estate, known as a Monopole, belongs to one owner, rather than several growers, and produces a tiny grape harvest from old vines grown on ancient terroir. Aged for two years in oak barrels, this is a wine of fabulous complexity & intensity with a lively fresh mineral character. Serve lightly chilled either as an aperitif or with fish, seafood and white meats. In the beginning, La Chablisienne was only a small group of pioneering winegrowers. But today this association has grown to more than 200 dynamic vineyard owners who cultivate some 1,100 hectares of vines; this represents a quarter of the vineyards in Chablis. Obviously, La Chablisienne produces Chablis appellation wines, but also a whole series of wines, each one more interesting than the other. Their 1st growths and great growths are a must. (6 x 75 cl)
