Bremerton MATILDA PLAINS Cabernet Shiraz Merlot Langhorne Creek South Australia
Description: Matilda Plains is an exciting new range from the Bremerton stable. Bremerton is a small family owned winery in the prestigious Langhorne Creek region of South Australia. The Bremerton story began in 1985 when Craig and Mignonne Willson purchased the property and established a long term restoration and development plan. The winery was established in 1988 and now has 110 acres planted at Langhorne Creek and is joint owner and manager of another 180 acres from which it selects the best fruit each year for its wines. The winemaking team headed by family member and winemaker Rebecca Willson has taken the quality of the wines to new standards. Rebecca seeks the best possible fruit from the Bremerton Estate and other specialised Langhorne Creek vineyards to craft traditional, full bodied, full flavoured, mouth filling Langhorne Creek wines that show a consistency of style whilst encouraging the true varietal grape characteristics to be expressed. Matilda Plains provides a modern, unique, and delicious range of wines. The distinctive label features the Willson family's much loved border collie Matilda helping in the vineyard. Matilda Plains Winery is located in Langhorne Creek, South Australia where Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Merlot have been traditionally grown for over 100 years. This wine is a blend of 44% Shiraz, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Merlot. It was fermented in open top fermenters allowing maximum extraction of colour and flavour. The wine was then matured in American oak for 12 months prior to blending and bottling. This wine is a deep opaque purple colour with aromas of dark forrest fruits as well as hints of earth, chocolate and mocha. A well balanced blend with soft well-integrated tannins, spicy flavours and a long finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Bremerton RACY ROSE Shiraz Cabernet Langhorne Creek South Australia
Description: The Bremerton story began in 1985 when Craig and Mignonne Willson purchased the property and established a long term restoration and development plan. The winery was established in 1988 and now has 110 acres planted at Langhorne Creek and is joint owner and manager of another 180 acres from which it selects the best fruit each year for its wines. Best quality practices ensure best quality grapes and the Bremerton vineyards predominantly grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot, with small plantings of Sauvignon Blanc, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The winery has invested heavily in a premium French & Amercian oak program using 220 litre barriques to ensure subtle and complementary oak influences. The winery utilises tradtional open top fermenters, made from stainless steel and a purpose built barrel cellar for maturation. New laboratory and tasting facilities have also been added to the winery. The best parcels of Shiraz had some of their juice drained off when the extraction colour was perfect, the juice was then cooled, settled and racked. A yeast was chosen that would enhance the natural characters of the berry and the ferment was treated just like a delicate white. The wine was then stabilised, filtered and bottled. This is the third vintage of Racy Rose, produced from 100% estate grown fruit. The philosophy behind this rose is to produce a wine that is easy drinking. The colour is bright and vibrant with a nose that shows wonderfully lifted crushed strawberry and watermelon characteristics. As the name suggests the palate is vibrant and racy with sweet cherry while the finish is dryer than most rose's, flavorsome and refreshing. (12 x 75 cl)

Arlewood Estate Semillon Margaret River Australia
Description: Arlewood Estate was established in 1988 in the Willyabrup Valley of the Margaret River wine region in Western Australia. The Gosatti family in partnership planted a small vineyard near Cowaramup in 1995, and acquired Arlewood Estate in 1999. In October 2005, The Gosatti Family completed an outright purchase of Arlewood to pursue the vision that is starting to crystalise with the release of some wines worthy of their situation. The total area under vine is 15 hectares and the plantings include 17 year old Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon vines; 11 year old Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc; 10 year old Chardonnay, along with newer plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. This wine is 100% Semillon from the Arlewood Wilyabrup vineyard and the hand picked fruit was assembled in the winery before 20% of the Semillon was fermented in new Saury French barriques. Finally the wine is transferred to 2 year old French barriques for 4 months. Stunning aromas with a rich and powerful style are reminiscent of a combination of citrus and rose as well as a smokey and nutty note. Big styled wine showing a seamless palate this is a complex wine, rounded with great length of flavour, it finishes long and tangy. (12 x 75 cl)
