Concha y Toro MARQUES DE CASA Cabernet Sauvignon Puente Alto Chile
Description: This wine was named after the title bestowed upon the founder of the vineyard by the Spanish monarchy. Due to its exceptional quality, distinct personality and extraordinary ability to display all the virtues of each Chilean valley, Marqués de Casa Concha has earned its rank among the nobility of the world's finest wines. Today, Marqués de Casa Concha shows the great recent progress in the viticultural and vinicultural art in Chile. The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon come from the Puente Alto Vineyard in the Maipo Valley, Chile's most celebrated wine region and are manually harvested during April. After vinification the wine is aged for 18 months in new and used French oak barriques. Once this is complete the wine is then aged a further 2 months after bottling. From the Marques De Casa vineyard of Puente Alto this Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark ruby-red coloured wine with a cherry, chocolate, black tar and smoke bouquet. Concentrated and full bodied this wine is smooth, round, well balanced and tasteful with a long finish. (6 x 75 cl)
