Description: Chateau Beychevelle is a prestigious growth surrounded by three centuries of history. Beychevelle was the fiefdom of the Ducs d'Epernon. The first duke, Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette, French Grand Admiral, wielded enormous power shown by the lowering of ships' sails as they passed the chateau in homage to the influential owner. The chateau was built in the 17th century and reconstructed by the Marquis of Brassier in 1757. It was recently restored to its former glory. (12 x 75 cl)
