Proud of their heritage of viticulture and wine making dating from 1953, the Aresti family present the first of their Family Collection range. The distinctive packaging incorporates the painting of the 'Vendima en la Hacienda Bellavista by the Chilean painter Alberto Valenzuela Lanos which depicts the harvest in the Curico Valley and hangs in the family hacienda. This distinctive wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon,Carmenere and Merlot grapes from the Penaflor estate. The wine spends 12 months in new oak barrels and has intense ruby colours, rich cassis and mint on the nose, exceptional structure on the palate with complex fruit flavours, spices and mature tannins. Aresti Family Vineyards FAMILY COLLECTION Merlot Rio Claro Chile
Description: The Merlot grapes and the small amount of Carmenere grapes are hand harvested from the Micaela and Favorita vineyards. As with the wines of this range, the wine is aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels after fermentation and macereation. Violet red in colour. The nose expresses aromas of blackberries, plum and fig with vanilla, mocha and toasted notes thanks to the barrel ageing. Full bodied with round soft tannins in the mouth and agreeable persistent length. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: This Carmenere has an intense, dark red colour and expressive nose of wild fruit aromas, ripe berries and sweet floral notes. The wine is aged for 12 months in new French medium toast barrels giving the wine spicy and vanilla notes whilst maintaining excellent balance and fruit flavours such as gooseberry, wild strawberry, truffle and game.
