Indis offers a select range of handcrafted wines made from fruit grown in Western Australia's leading cool climate viticultural regions. Fruit is sourced exclusively from the Pemberton region of Western Australia. The proximity to the ocean produces a light breeze, which reduces the risks of frost and rot and cools the area, lengthening the ripening season and increasing the temperature ranges. The fruit is transported as quickly as possible to the brand new ForestHill Winery in order to maintain freshness and reduce the risk of spoilage. It is gently crushed and chilled, before fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is not aged in oak in order to protect its varietal characteristics, but bottled soon after a light filtration. Bright, white gold in colour with flashes of lime green, the nose is an aromatic fruit melange of pineapple, melon, grapefruit and citrus aromas. The palate is medium bodied and unoaked, with a crystal clear presentation of tropical fruits balanced with delightful citrus acidity and a clean, crisp finish. A Stelvin closure has been used to seal this wine to guarantee that its style and quality is exactly the same as when it left Western Australia and to reduce the risk of any cork taint. From the long growing season and cool nights of the Great Southern, the wine carries aromas of spice, dark fruits and subtle French Oak.
