Costa di Bussia Barolo Riserva DOCG
Description: In the vintages which are held to be of particularly high quality, part of our winery's overall yield of Barolo is selected in the vineyard and allocated to the production of BAROLO RISERVA. made from choice Nebbiolo grapes, the fermentation of the must in lenghty contact with the skins result in a wine which will be aged in wood for at least three years prior to further maturing in the bottle. The Casks used for ageing hold from 25 to 60 hl. each, and it is here that the wine develops its bouquet, bringing out to the full all the featurea which make it stand out. This is the characteristic thatis most appreciated in Barolo Riserva:its typical style derived from the traditional wine-making and ageing methods used. the wine matures in the bottle for at least one year in cellars dug out of the tufa, where there are no sudden changes in the temperatus and it is well-protected from the light and noise while awaiting its turn to be released onto the market, no earlier then five years following the vintage. Barolo Riserva's special properties cater perfectly for lengthy keeping. (6 x 75 cl)
