Grandes Bodegas MONTE VILLALOBON Tinto Barrica Ribera Del Duero
Description: The fruit, dominated by Tempranillo and a little Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the Ribera del Duero on vines over 60 years old. Black olive and dark fruit aromas develop on the palate of this well made wine that finishes with length and complexity. Grandes Bodegas were founded in 1985 and their vineyards form one of the best and most modern estates in Ribera del Duero. The red wines from this bodega have a much more fruit driven style than Rioja, although they are made from a strain of Tempranillo called Tinto Fino. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: This Ribera del Duero is a blend of 86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Merlot. It has amazing colour and intensity, and is a sure sign of this estate’s steady ascent to the top of the quality tree in Ribera del Duero. The stunning Finca Villacreces estate, which was purchased by the Anton family in 2003, is a mature vineyard situated at the western end of the Ribera del Duero zone, neighbouring Vega Sicilia and Pingus. 2004 is the first vintage vinified by the new owners, and the results are stunning.
