Chateau Trottevieille 1er Grand Cru Classe St Emilion
Description: Chateau Bergat is part of the family of vineyards and producers owned by the Bordeaux Negotiant Borie Manoux. It is classified as a 1er Grand Cru Classe Estate and is the only Saint Emilion premier cru to be owned by a negotiant. A 10 hectare estate it is planted with merlot, cabernet franc and a little cabernet sauvignon. Once in the winery the grapes undergo a three-week fermentation before the wine is transferred into oak barrels and after 12 to 18 months barrel maturation the wine is fined and bottled. Displaying enormous length and concentration this deep ruby red wine has a ripe fruit bouquet. The palate is classic in style, elegant with inky black fruits that combine for an enjoyable finish.
