Chateau Roslane Blanc Premier Cru Les Coteaux De L’Atlas AOC Morocco
Description: Les Celliers de Meknes's Chateau Roslane blanc is a Chardonnay from Morocco's first controlled appellation. Extremely well suited for growing the lime-rich clay soils encourage vines to grow deep roots in order to find nourishment. As a result, the dry siliceous sub soil participates in the elaboration of a very harmonious wine. Additionally, the climatic influences of the Atlas mountains on the slopes where the vineyards are found include low rainfall that provides Les Coteaux de l'Atlas an ideal and unique situation in Morocco for growing great grapes. The harvest carried out in August, is done entirely by hand where the fruit are gathered in 18 kg-cases before being stored on arrival. Once in the winery fermentation 70% vinified in French new barrels with stirring of lees, while 30% vinified traditionally in thermo-regulated stainless ferments takes place. Finally, the wine is aged 4 months in French new barrels and more than one year in laid bottles. (12 x 75 cl)

Sonoma-Cutrer LES PIERRES Chardonnay Sonoma Valley California
Description: The colour is fine yellow gold, with perfect clarity, and aromas of spice, floral lemon-lime join the familiar Les Pierre flinty mineral backbone. As you enjoy drinking the wine you'll recognize the signature green apple and lemon of this vineyard, evolving to dried lemon peel and fresh lime zest. The floral notes recall Acacia flowers, common in the springtime Burgundy countryside. The middle palate is broader in this vintage, with a touch of spun honey. Our careful approach to oak aging and fermentation adds just the right touch of fresh baked bread crust. The structure is mineral, firm, balanced, elegant and focused. A wonderfully long finish is classic Les Pierres, tight, lemon-mineral, extending with great acidity. More austere than our other Chardonnays, but one for the ages. (6 x 75 cl)

Domaine Patrick Javillier LES MONTCHENEVOY Savigny-les-Beaune
Description: Based in Meursault Patrick Javillier is one of the top three wine makers in the village. He owns a little Corton-Charlemagne and a minuscule plot of Meursault Charmes, but otherwise the estate consists entirely of 'village' vineyards. However, a village wine from Javillier usually outshines a Premier Cru from most of his neighbours. These are classic Meursaults, and his Bourgogne blancs are very serious, mineral-driven wines. Domaine Chandon de Briailles Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavieres
Description: Owned by the same family since 1834 Domaine Chandon de Briailles was once a renowned domaine, but things had declined. Then in 1990, Nadine de Nicolay and her daughter, Claude, took over. Changes were made everywhere as yields were reduced, the use of herbicides abandoned for natural methods, while fining and filtration were stopped. This change in philosophy resulted in a changed of fortune and Domaine Chandon de Briailles is once again acknowledged as a maker of fine wines. This change has been reflected not only in the vineyard but also in the winery and the wines now spend between 18 and 24 months in the underground cellars where they are racked twice and bottled by gravity without filtration. A deep red coloured wine with concentrated, big rich fruit flavours and a long sophisticated finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Joseph Phelps Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley California
Description: Founded in 1972, Joseph Phelps Vineyards is an independent, estate-based winery located outside of St. Helena. Perched on a knoll in bucolic Spring Valley, the graceful redwood winery overlooks vineyard-studded hills, the town of St. Helena and the Mayacamas Mountains to the west. Long known for his innovative spirit and passion for quality, Joe Phelps pioneered a number of 'firsts' in the early years of the winery. The 1974 Insignia — released in the spring of 1978 — was the first Bordeaux-style blend produced in California under a proprietary label. The release of the 1974 Syrah in 1977 sparked industry-wide interest in a remarkable French varietal whose plantings in California had disappeared and been virtually forgotten for over half a century. And in 1990, after years of research, a whole new family of Rhône-style wines was introduced which today includes Syrah, Viognier and a Chateauneuf-du-Pape style blend called Le Mistral. 100% estate-grown Sauvignon Blanc from the Spring Valley ranch outside of St. Helena, the grapes were harvested at an average 23.0º Brix, fermented sur lees for six months in a combination of new French oak barrels and 3-4 year old French oak , then blended and bottled before release. Gentle fruit and fragrant are the hallmarks of this Sauvignon Blanc. Californian ripeness makes for richness of flavour rather than startling fruit acidity to deliver a refreshing rather than reminiscent wine showing crushed gooseberries and grass. Beautifully balanced fruit flavours with notes of mineral lead to a fresh, mediumbodied finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Savigny-les-Beaune
Description: The soil of Savigny-les-Beaune is ideally suited to growing vines and is also comparatively deep. The wines from this village are moderately intense in colour. They have an elegant, fairly powerful bouquet, dominated by Morello cherries, blackcurrants, raspberries, modulating over the years towards strawberries and hints of woodland undergrowth. Subtle, with discreet tannins, and a low acid content, they have a light, open structure which gives them a feminine image. Perfumed and mellow, they have a rich bouquet. They have fire and strength, but above all it is their exquisite delicacy and finesse. The Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret, renamed since 1945, now operates, in the purist of the burgundy tradition, a large vineyard, from the Cote de Nuits to the Cote de Beaune, from Marsannay to the south of Dijon to Puligny-Montrachet, including all the most prestigious villages of the Cote : Gevrey-Chambertin, Vougeot, Nuits Saint Georges and Savigny les Beaune. Today, the property accounts today for approximately 30 hectares, spread on 33 different appellations. (12 x 75 cl)
