Adriano Ramos Pinto 30 YEAR OLD Tawny Port
Description: The Ramos-Pinto 30-Year old Tawny is amber colored with orange and garnet tones. The delicate green highlights of the meniscus are characteristic of old cask-aged wines, and illustrate the quality and advanced age of this fine port. This complex, perfectly balanced port shows rich aromas of dried fruit and vanilla. Agitate the glass and spice aromas of cinnamon and cocoa are liberated. In the mouth, the attack is fresh, fine and delicate. Ripe, dried fruit softly merges with almond and hazelnut, culminating in vanilla flavors which linger gracefully on the palate. Made from Ramos-Pinto's estate vineyards in the best production zones of the Delimited Douro Region, the 30-Year Tawny is a blend of wines that have been aging in oak for an average of three decades in the winery's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Domaine Les Hautes Noelles Muscadet Sur Lie Cotes de Grandlieu Loire
Description: This Muscadet Sur Lie is light, greenish yellow in colour, with a clean, fresh nose, with perfumes of white peaches and grapefruit, tending more towards mineral tones than tropical fruit. On the palate it has good depth, and a ripeness of fruit lacking in many Muscadets. This is counterbalanced by a lemony, slightly spritzy freshness on the fresh finish. The vineyards are situated on the hills overlooking the Grandlieu lake, facing southwest. The proximity to the lake ensures a more moderate climate, which in turn leads to earlier ripening and fuller wines. The 25-30 year old vines are managed raisoneé, with cover crops and minimal intervention. Soils here are thin and sandy, with clay and schistous areas. Domaine les Hautes Noelles has been owned by Serge Batard’s family since the 1930s. The domaine now has 24 hectares of vineyard located in the commune of Port St Père and St Léger les Vignes, 15 kilometres southwest of the city of Nantes. Serge Batard’s property includes 7 hectares of the ‘Côtes de Grandlieu’ appellation. (12 x 75 cl)

Torbreck RUN RIG Shiraz Viognier Barossa Valley
Description: David Powell discovered some land in 1992 that had old Shiraz vines growing on it that were almost dead. After nursing them back to health he secured a contract to supply the grapes to a local grower. After realising that this hobby could be made into a business he decided to go full time. In 1994 he founded the company and named it Torbreck after a forrest in Scotland where he had worked as a lumberjack. Torbreck's flagship wine, RunRig is named after the Scottish Highland clans system to distribute land amongst its clansmen in a series of widely dispersed holdings or 'Runrig'. Great care is taken from the vineyard where the vines are over 100 years old to the winery, where the Shiraz cuvee spends 30 months in 60 percent new French Oak . The 3 percent estate grown Viognier is also fermented and aged for 6 months in barrel and then added to the blend just prior to bottling. This is a structured, muscular Shiraz blended with a little Viognier that is showing phenomenal density, dry vintage port-like concentration, and magnificent notes of smoke, blackberries, cassis, leather and coffee. A hint of viognier's sweet marmalade character comes through as the wine sits in the glass. Limited Availability. (6 x 75 cl)

Quinta do Infantado Red Douro
Description: This wine is a serious red with similar depth and intensity to this estate's Ports. The wine is made from 30% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinta Franca, 30% Tinta Roriz and 10% of other Douro varieties. The wine was aged in new and one year old French and American oak barrels for a year before bottling producing a wine with good depth of colour and a ripe, spicy fruit on the nose, which gives way to a brooding intensity on the palate. Quinta do Infantado wines are grown, made and bottled at the Quinta , located near Pinhão in the Douro Valley, a sub-region called Gontelho which has long been renowned as a source of outstanding Porto. The Roseira family has owned Quinta do Infantado for over a century and all their vineyards are classified class A, the best in Douro Valley. (6 x 75 cl)
