Castellodi Ama ROSE Tuscany
Description: The terroir that yields Castellodi Ama’s Rose is the same that yields its Chianti Classico. These vineyards were planted between 1964 and 1978, trained partly to vertical trellis and partly to Open Lyre. The wine, 90% sangiovese and 10% canaiolo, gains its considerable body from bleeding-off lots that will produce Chianti Classico; for this reason, the resulting wine is closer to a young red wine than to a white. Excellent structure and good holding potential over time are its principal qualities. But its fresh approachability, a hallmark of wines from fully ripe sangiovese, and the lushness of its fragrances combine to ensure that this rosato can be appreciated right from its first months in the bottle. (6 x 75 cl) Price: £67.08

Barone Ricasoli CASTELLOdi BROLIO Chianti Classico
Description: Castellodi Brolio is one of the oldest wine producers in the world and is situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico region of Italy. Located in Gaiole in Chianti, it has one of the longest histories of any wine estate in the world, having produced wine since 1141. In 1993, Barone Francesco Ricasoli took back control of the estate, spending millions of dollars replanting vineyards and upgrading the cellars. Today, Brolio is again one of Tuscany's leading wine estates. Castle of Brolio, is a Classic Chianti DOCG made with the Sangiovese grapes and a little Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the old systems of the Castle with extremely low yields, but of qualitative level of rare excellence. A ruby red coloured wine with elegant aromas of fruit that follows through to the palate with great tannin strength and a harmonic long finish. Available in a Jeroboam Bottle.
