Chateau Greysac Cru Bourgeois Medoc
Description: Chateau Greysac's destiny is linked to a visit in 1973 by Baron Francois de Gunzburg and several of his friends. The visitors were so taken with the estate that they immediately decided to buy it and were able to do with the financial participation of the INFINT group, presided by Mr Giovanni Agnelli. Chateau Greysac underwent remarkable development and was admitted to the very select Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux in 1982. Today, the Estate covers 95 ha of which 70 ha are under vine. Greysac's wine is more than ever before the expression of its outstanding beautiful gravelly rises located in the hamlet of By. The grapes come from 25 years old vines and the wine is aged 12 months in Oak of which 20% is new each year. This has produced the characteristic style of Greysac showing great aromatic finesse combined with good, full body. This dynamic produces wines with straightforward, clean flavours and sumptuous fruit which acquire elegance and complexity over time. This wine is a blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and a little 2% Petit Verdot. A purple red coloured wine with aromas of dark forrest fruits, peper and spice this is a medium bodied wine. The dark forrest fruit aromas reveal themselves in the flavours while the smooth tannins culminate in a rounded finish. (12 x 75 cl)
