Description: The aim of Entity is to produce a wine true to the Barossa Valley, variety, and vintage.Showing a dense ruby purple colour it is packed with dark forrest fruit aromas enhanced by the 18 months spent in oak. The dark fruit aromas develop on the palate as concentration, fine, ripe tannins, restrained power and length on the finish highlight the hallmarks of this John Duval shiraz. Entity is sourced from old Shiraz vineyards from the Stockwell, Light Pass, Ebenezer and Krondorf regions in the north and east of the Barossa Valley. Duval is a legendary name. As only the third winemaker to be entrusted with the making of Australia's most famous wine, Penfolds Grange, John worked for Penfolds for 28 years until his departure in 2002. Rich and generous, with good concentration of dark fruit, the tannins are fine, ripe and balanced. The structure has restrained power but remains elegant, and finishes with excellent fruit intensity.
