Our top-quality and most exclusive wine, the Gran Familia range is the pride of the De Martino family. Only the very best grapes are used in both varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère. These wines are aged in French oak barrels for 18 months and rested in our private cellars until their release. Both Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 and 2002 were selected Premium Wine of the Year in the prestigious Chilean wine guide, La Guia de Vinos de Chile 2004 and 2005 editions. Grown in our own vineyards in the Maipo Valley, smooth and round on the nose, this complex wine boasts an attractive range of berry, cherry and plum flavours that fill out the mid palate and continue on the finish. It shows great finesse and style. The finish is long, with a perfectly integrated aftertaste of fruit and oak. (12 x 75 cl)

Odfjell Vineyards ORZADA Carmenere Maipo Valley Chile
Description: Over 20 years ago, the pioneering Norwegian Armador, Dan Odfjell discovered and fell in love with a small corner of the famous Maipo Valley, Chile. Born of rain in Bergen, Norway, he could not resist the attraction of the austral sun in this Virgilian setting. Serendipity would later show that he had found land in Chile's premium red wine producing valley, where vitis vinifera has been cultivated since the 17th century. Here a soothing coastal breeze produces a microclimate conducive to distinct and beautiful wines on the 85 hectares planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. This hand harvested Carmenere has a little Merlot added before being aged for 10 months in new and used American and French Oak. This wine presents a deep red and dark violet color leading to a nose marked with black/green tea notes followed by nice aromas of cranberry, plum and cherry. The end of the nose has a nice touch of well balanced toasted oak with hints of vanilla. On the palate, the fruit dominates with a refreshing acidity while there is a long finish with mature, firm and velvety tannins. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: This wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Cabernet Franc and Syrah, has an attractive, deep ruby red colour. The nose opens on rich spice, toast and black cherry aromas, to which a touch of eucalyptus brings subtlety and aromatic refinement. Round and smooth on the palate, the wine is powerful though not excessively so, displaying excellent balance with a combination of fine, well-integrated tannins with notes of vanilla, caramel, liquorice and mocha. On the palate, the wine has a round attack, showing fruit and a refreshing, well-balanced, acidity, with a long and juicy finish. Produced from 10 year old vines in the Maipo Valley, the vineyard is surrounded by mountains. Concha y Toro CASILLERO DEL DIABLO Cabernet Sauvignon Maipo Valley Chile
Description: Casillero del Diablo offers wine lovers the very special opportunity to participate in the propagation of a century old legend known throughout the world. In the 19th century, the founder of Concha y Toro, Don Melchor, discovered that his vineyard workers were sampling his greatest wines. To discourage this action, Don Melchor spread the rumor that his deepest, darkest cellar was the Casillero del Diablo , so that no one would dare go in there. It worked, and a legend was born. Today, this mysterious and legendary cellar continues to hold the finest, estate grown wines of Casillero del Diablo. This wine is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Carmenere. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, 70% of the wine is aged in small American oak for six to eight months, 30% is aged in stainless steel for 8 months. A dark red coloured wine with a great bouquet of appealing ripe cherries, black currant and dark plums with a touch of vanilla and toasted oak. Showing an intense red violet colour, on the nose this Syrah develops a blend of floral notes including violet, roses, sweet corn; as well as plum and blackberry fruit, vanilla and smoky/leathy notes. Vina Carmen RESERVE Carmenere Cabernet Sauvignon Maipo Valley Chile
Description: Winemaker Comments: The wine shows a beautiful deep ruby colour, with intense aromas of ripe red fruits, cassis, cream, mint, cacao and an intense spicy character. The balance of fruit and tannins is perfect, soft and ripe. It is a full, deep and meaty wine, medium to full-bodied and offers a very long aftertaste. Winemaking techniques: The grapes were hand-harvested and then selected and crushed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at 28ºC, with a total maceration period of 15 days. After the skins were pressed, malolactic fermentation occurred naturally. The wine was blended, then aged in American oak and French oak barriques for a period of 6 months. Following to bottling, the wine aged in our cellar for additional 4 months prior to release. (6 x 75 cl)

Vinified separately the Merlot is aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels. Carmenere is 20% of the blend and is again sourced form the Rapel Valley and is aged for 14 months in French barrels. It delivers a wealth of aromas, deep colour, silky texture and a fulfilling taste. Finally, the Maipo Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% of the blend, adds structure and a longer finish to this premium blend. It is again aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. Trio has the characteristic aromas of damsons with hints of chocolate and casis on the palate, smooth tannins and a nice finish. (12 x 75 cl)

A dark and deep ruby colour prepares for the complex and elegant nose with aromas of mature red candied blackberries. The vanilla and oak flavours are present and well integrated with the fruit, while light notes of leather and tobacco with a touch of chocolate mark the finish.
