Vineyard/TerritoryGrapes cultivated in a single, historic vineyard in Castiglione Tinella. Wine Production The grapes are picked in wicker baskets, pressed and the must is kept at low temperatures. The wine is then bottled immediately after fermentation. We are enchanted by this extroverted, sunny Moscato, which we have called Bass Tuba ever since, back in the nineteen- eighties, we were the first to break with tradition and modernize the image then associated with Asti Spumante. Bottling it in a Bordeaux bottle normally utilized for an important red and a careful selection and reduction of vineyard yields, maniacally scrupulous cellar handling and bottle aging finished the job. Today, Bass Tuba is still a Cru and still provides full satisfaction, even in the new half-bottle format. A key feature is its low alcohol content, making it a wine everyone can drink, perfect for toasts on any occasion. It should always be stored and served well chilled.
