Bogle Petite Sirah Delta Region California
Description: First produced in 1978 by the Bogle family, this 2002 vintage shows just how far the winery has come. Amazingly inky, deep purple wine emerges from the bottle as you pour a glass. On the nose, luscious boysenberry scents mingle with traces of cedar and black pepper. Trademark jammy notes fill the mouth with ripe fruit and berries. The voluptuous finish lingers with toasty, vanilla oak and lush fruit. The firm tannins make this a wine that can develop for years to come, but you wont want to wait that long to enjoy it! Jean-Claude Boisset Gevrey Chambertin AC
Description: This Gevrey-Chambertin from Jean-Claude Boisset is made using fruit from old vines, primarily from two Premier Cru vineyards in Gevrey. Boisset used to buy wine from the grower who owns the Crepiot vineyard, but since Gregory's arrival they buy grapes instead. In addition, Gregory has worked closely with the grower to improve the quality of the fruit arriving at the winery. This quality shines through in the finished wine, which has lovely black cherry fruit giving way to a minerally yet luscious character on the palate. (6 x 75 cl)
