Forget Brimont BRUT ROSE Non Vintage Champagne Description: Today Michel Forget is the sixth generation to continue the wine-making tradition of the Forget family. Louis Forget created his vineyard at the beginning of the XIX century. Then Eugène established the family label in 1920, with a production of just a hundred bottles. Today the 10 hectares Estate of Forget-Brimont is mainly located in the terroirs of Montagne de Reims, Mailly Champagne and Verzenay 'grands crus noirs' as well as Ludes and Rilly 'premier crus' at the heart of the pinot noir kingdom. When and as necessary, Michel Forget buys grand cru chardonnay for his blending, while 120 000 bottles leave the Forget cellars each year. Michel Forget blends his champagnes himself from three consecutive years, in order to ensure regularity and maintain the House style which is so appreciated by customers. The wine is stored in the Forget cellars 18 meters below ground level. The cellars excavated in chalk offer excellent conditions for the wine. The champagnes are aged there a minimum of two years. The vintage champagnes are aged between three and ten years. This enables the wines to reach full maturity, and they can be served as soon as they leave our cellars. Description: Entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti’s success in the building industry allowed him to indulge his passion for wine in the creation of a small estate. It began virtually as a hobby, but over the years it became the focus of Moretti’s work. With the gifted enologist Mattia Vezzola at the helm since 1980, Bellavista now produce wines of real finesse and individuality. The 50 hectares of vineyards are cultivated according to organic principles, and planting densities are high in order to limit yields per vine. In cellars carved into the hillside above Lake Iseo, vinification reflects both avant garde techniques and many of the traditions of Champagne. Long ageing on the lees in bottle is 'de rigueur' for the sparkling wines, and the barrique is employed with great subtlety, while 40% of the juice is barrel-fermented for the Franciacorta wines. The resulted house style is characterised by an elegant balance, classy yeasty nose, a very fine perlage and persistent mousse. The grapes are vinified with brief skin contact for this Sparkling Rose wine and matured for 36 months.
