Vie di Romans VIE di ROMANS Chardonnay Isonzo
Description: The Vie di Romans Chardonnay has Gianfranco Gallo’s hallmark richness, but the perfume and acidity on the wine is in stunning balance with the fruit. Gianfranco Gallo is a perfectionist. Not for him the unoaked, over-sweetened simplicity of many white wines from Friuli; he is more interested in richness, texture, length, complexity and the ability to age. For this reason, he releases his white wines 18 months after the vintage (6 x 75 cl)

Livio and Giorgio Marega Chardonnay Collio DOC
Description: Started in 1905 by the estate's great-grandfather Ludvik Cresevec who bought 2ha in San Floriano the estate has passed down the generations and grown to its current size of 13.5ha . The vineyard plots are scattered throughout the locality: in Cero on the Slovenian border, Gradiscutta and Blanchis as well as San Floriano. The agriculture is organic with minimal treatments. The traditional Collio style is the focus of Livio and Giorgio Marega, with their challenge to get back to traditional methods in vinification, using the traditional barrels of two and five hectolitres, called "Holbar". These barrels were made of acacia, which give white wines great finesse and intense bouquet and elegant sweet tannins. (6 x 75 cl)

Collavini BROY Bianco DOC Collio
Description: In 1896 Eugenio Collavini, the founder, first supplied to the best Udinese's families his wines without ever imagining that a century later they would reach the world over The grapes, carefully chosen amongst the over-ripened bunches, are gathered separately on special grid trays. Only the Tocai Friulano and the Chardonnay grapes are then concentrated in a modern temperature and humidity controlled fruit-cell. The Sauvignon grapes are gently pressed and the juice maintained at a low temperature in order to block fermentation. The pressing of Tocai Friulano and Chardonnay grapes then follows, before these three are then fermented together in small oak barrels from the Allier forest, that are perfectly aged and toasted. The wine is bottled and rests for further 3-4 months before release. The wine is a blend of Tocai Friulano, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanch and has a deep golden yellow colour with aromas of sweet acacia and vanilla that integrate well with the tropical fruit notes. This wine presents a full body, round, harmonious and long with lingering aromas. (6 x 75 cl)

Livio Felluga SHARJS Fruili Venezia Giulia
Description: The Shàrjs is a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% barrel fermented Ribolla Gialla. Its delicate perfume of white peaches gives way to a rich yet elegant fruit on the palate that finishes long. It is one of the most interesting Italian white wines on our list, the creaminess of the Chardonnay balancing nicely with the aromatics and raciness of the Ribolla. Livio Felluga was one of the great names of Italian wine. Recently revitalised by his two sons, Andrea and Maurizio, this 139 hectare estate is now well on the way to reclaiming its rightful place among the great producers in Italy. The energy injected into the estate by the younger generation has been harnessed by consultant viticulturalist/winemaker Stefano Chioccioli. As a result of their work, the whites have acquired more intense and focussed flavours, while the reds have a ripeness and suppleness that is seldom achieved in Friuli. These are estate wines in the best sense of the word, with the quality of the fruit manifest in the glass. (6 x 75 cl)

Collavini IL GRIGIO Brut Sparkling Fruili
Description: In 1896 Eugenio Collavini, the founder, first supplied to the best Udinese's families his wines without ever imagining that a century later they would reach the world over. Thanks to the lucky foresight and intuition of the Manlio Collavini, Il Grigio was created in 1974. The foundations for a good sparkling wine were already in the cellars. The right mixture just had to be found between Prosecco, and Chardonnay to obtain a wine that would be innovative and easy to drink. Chardonnay was chosen for its elegance and body. The addition of the Prosecco was essential, for a sparkling wine that's easy to drink and even easier to enjoy. The Chardonnay grapes come mainly from the Friuli hills, the Prosecco from Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Made separately, they come together in the tank. This Sparkling wine is a bright straw colour with a greenish tint and a lasting foam with fine, constant bubbles. A fragrant nose with a hint of apples and pears as well as the scent of yeast lead to a full flavoured wine with a slight touch of citron and a long-lasting taste. (12 x 75 cl)

Princic Dario TREBEZ Vino Bianco Collio

This orange-rose wine is bone-dry with a hint of dried grape-skin and suggestion of butterscotch. (6 x 75 cl)
