Description: The Rothschild family acquired Chateau Duhart-Milon, a 4th Cru in the 1855 classification from the Castejas of Pauillac, in 1962. The property was named after the Sieur of Duhart, gun-runner to Louis XIV, who owned this land, and from the name of the little hamlet of Milon which stands on a knoll separating this vineyard from that of Chateau Lafite. Since the acquisition, a lot of work has been done to re-establish the name and the reputation of this cru classe: replanting and developing the vineyard; building new modern chais and cuvier; paying strict attention to the viticulture as to the vinification. Château Duhart Milon's second wine, is selected from vats of the Grand Vin. In general, the grapes are from the youngest part of the vineyard. Although Baron de Milon has several characteristics in common with the first wine it is aged less in barrel for earlier consumption. Using Cabernet Sauvignon , Cabernet Franc , Merlot with just a few percent of Petit Verdot . The fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, but the wines are aged in oak barriques, made by the cooper of Lafite, 33 to 40% are renewed each year. After 18 to 20 months in barrels, during which time the wines are racked seven times and fined, the bottling takes place at the chateau. A strict selection of the vats which go into Duhart-Milon wines maintains a high quality. Full bodied, with supple round fruit the wine is now ready to drink.

Chateau Duhart Milon 4eme Cru Classe Pauillac
Description: The Rothschild family acquired Chateau Duhart-Milon, a 4th Cru in the 1855 classification from the Castejas of Pauillac, in 1962. The property was named after the Sieur of Duhart, gun-runner to Louis XIV, who owned this land, and from the name of the little hamlet of Milon which stands on a knoll separating this vineyard from that of Chateau Lafite. Since the acquisition, a lot of work has been done to re-establish the name and the reputation of this cru classe: replanting and developing the vineyard; building new modern chais and cuvier; paying strict attention to the viticulture as to the vinification.. The fine wine from Chateau Duhart-Milon is often described as a classic version of Pauillac appellation. It has a distinguished and reserved character. The courtier Abraham Lawton noted as early as 1815 that 'it has firm taste, a fine color, and a pronounced seve'. This strong personality of Chateau Duhart-Milon remains accurate today. (12 x 75 cl)

Baron Philippe de Rothschild MOUTON CADET Reserve Blanc Graves
Description: This blend of Semillon , Sauvignon and Muscadelle has a brilliant pale gold colour, with a slightly greenish hue. The nose opens on attractive white peach and candied lemon aromas with subtler notes of jasmine blossom. A round and fruity attack on the palate lengthens on the more mineral notes typical of the appellation. The long and succulent finish underlines the richness of flavour and elegance of this white Graves.. Since 1933 Baron Philippe de Rothschild, located at Pauillac in the Medoc, has been motivated by a constant ambition: to make the world's finest wines, each in its own category, whether the chateaux wines for which it is responsible – the renowned Chateau Mouton Rothschild, a First Growth, and its distinguished lieutenants, Chateau Clerc Milon and Chateau d'Armailhac – or branded wines, like the famous Mouton Cadet or the Mouton Cadet Reserve range . Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA has also exported its know-how beyond Bordeaux: to the Pays d'Oc, with a range of varietal wines and, more recently, Domaine de Baron'arques; to California, with Opus One; and to Chile, with Almaviva. One of the key factors behind the company's undisputed success is the art of blending, which it practises with exceptional skill and this is reflected in the Mouton Cadet Reserve range. (6 x 75 cl)

Baron Philippe de Rothschild MOUTON CADET Reserve Medoc
Description: This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot and Cabernet Franc is a deep garnet red coloured wine. Both dense and elegant, the nose opens with ripe fruit, especially blackcurrant and strawberry. A wine of great class and character, it has a massive attack on the palate that is sustained by well-rounded remarkably textured tannins. Great overall harmony between the forward fruit and high quality structure give way to fine tannic length and an elegant finish. Baron Philippe de Rothschild MOUTON CADET Reserve Sauternes
Description: This wine is a mix of Semillon , Sauvignon and Muscadelle . Coppery gold in colour, the wine has a highly concentrated nose of honey, gingerbread and beeswax mingled with fresher notes of acacia and lime blossom, giving an elegant and richly scented whole. Dense on the palate, with body, character and heft, it displays delicate floral notes and fuller flavours of very ripe tropical fruit. The complex flavours of the elegant and unctuous finish reflect an ample and generous vintage.
