Chateau Duhart Milon 4eme Cru Classe Pauillac
Description: The Rothschild family acquired Chateau Duhart-Milon, a 4th Cru in the 1855 classification from the Castejas of Pauillac, in 1962. The property was named after the Sieur of Duhart, gun-runner to Louis XIV, who owned this land, and from the name of the little hamlet of Milon which stands on a knoll separating this vineyard from that of Chateau Lafite. Since the acquisition, a lot of work has been done to re-establish the name and the reputation of this cru classe: replanting and developing the vineyard; building new modern chais and cuvier; paying strict attention to the viticulture as to the vinification.. The fine wine from Chateau Duhart-Milon is often described as a classic version of Pauillac appellation. It has a distinguished and reserved character. The courtier Abraham Lawton noted as early as 1815 that 'it has firm taste, a fine color, and a pronounced seve'. This strong personality of Chateau Duhart-Milon remains accurate today. (12 x 75 cl) Price: £452.90

Chateau de Campuget PRESTIGE DE CHATEAU CAMPUGET Costieres de Nimes AC
Description: Chateau de Campuget, which belongs to the Dalle family since 1941, is producing great A.O.C. Costieres de Nimes wines. The vineyard of 160 hectares is situated in the heart of the A.O.C. area, between Nimes and Arles, a few kilometres from the right side of the Rhone river. The main characteristic of the 'terroir' is its soil , formed by an accumulation of round stones that had been rolled by many overflows of the Rhone river during the quaternary era. It allows the grapevines to establish their roots deep enough to find the water they need for growing. At the same time they profit of the sunny Mediterranean climate, essential for the good maturation of the grapes. Although equipped with stainless-steel tanks and modern tools, Chateau Campuget wines are made and matured in a traditional way. From its own bottling-line to the air-conditioned warehouse, it can control the quality of the wines from the vineyard to the bottle. Intensely coloured wine with inviting aromas of blackberry and a lick of vanilla oak.
