Concha y Toro CASILLERO DEL DIABLO Cabernet Sauvignon Maipo Valley Chile
Description: Casillero del Diablo offers wine lovers the very special opportunity to participate in the propagation of a century old legend known throughout the world. In the 19th century, the founder of Concha y Toro, Don Melchor, discovered that his vineyard workers were sampling his greatest wines. To discourage this action, Don Melchor spread the rumor that his deepest, darkest cellar was the Casillero del Diablo , so that no one would dare go in there. It worked, and a legend was born. Today, this mysterious and legendary cellar continues to hold the finest, estate grown wines of Casillero del Diablo. This wine is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Carmenere. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, 70% of the wine is aged in small American oak for six to eight months, 30% is aged in stainless steel for 8 months. A dark red coloured wine with a great bouquet of appealing ripe cherries, black currant and dark plums with a touch of vanilla and toasted oak. It is medium bodied with smooth and friendly tannins, well structured, perfectly balanced and boasts a satisfying and lingering finish. Available in Half Bottles. (24 x 37.5 cl)

Echeverria LATE HARVEST Sauvignon Blanc Maule Chile
Description: In 1740 the Echeverría family moved to Chile, and has been prominent in Chilean agriculture, and active in grape growing and winemaking since then. In the early 1900's, the Echeverría family established a vineyard and winery in the outskirts of the town of Molina, in the Curico Valley, the wine heartland of Chile. Since then, Vina Echeverría has been growing fine grapes from French pre-philloxera rootstocks, and producing fine wines in that same location. Great care is taken in making this wine, here the harvest is done entirely by hand and carried to the winery in 18 Kg. boxes immediately after cutting. The grapes undergoe whole cluster pressing with 48 hour static sedimentation prior to fermentation. Fermented with selected yeasts at 18ºC constant temperature in stainless steel tanks for 45 days, the wine is then transferred to oak barrels for moderate ageing. Finally, the wine is matured in bottles for at least 6 months before release. This wine is a lovely golden yellow colour with a complex nose showing clear overtones of mature peaches, apricots and honey, with a delicate background of botrytis. Marked notes of quince jam and creamy honeyed flavours are enlivened by a good level of acidity, while the rich, intense and full bodied flavours culminate in a long and elegant finish where the fruits and botrytis express their identity in full harmony. Available in 50 cl Bottles. (12 x 37.5 cl)
