La Prendina ALTO MINCIO Pinot Grigio IGT Cascina
Description: The Azienda Agricola La Prendina was acquired in 1958 and at first the wines were sold under the Cavalchina brand. The first wine to use the name of La Prendina was a Merlot bottled in 1980 for Gualtiero Marchesi, but it was only in 1990 that we see the wines of La Prendina sold under the name La Prendina. In the vineyard La Prendina aims to grow full flavoured concentrated grapes while the task in the cellar is to express the nature of the grape and terroir. A yellow coloured wine with good fruit on the nose and palate. This Pinot Grigio is subtle and well balanced with a very satisfying texture. (12 x 75 cl)

Vinnaioli Jermann Pinot Grigio Friuli Venezia Giula
Description: Sandwiched next to the Slovenian border in the North East corner of Italy, Friuli has had a history of producing light aromatic white wines of immense drinkability but of little interest outside the region. Silvio Jermann has almost single handedly changed that. Silvio is widely considered to be a true 'artist' in the production of wines from his region, he is one of Friuli's top winemakers, producing small quantities of finely honed wines usually pre-sold on allocation. His style is to bring out floral aromas and piercing varietal character along with subtlety and elegance, resulting in very long wines with good ageing potential. An intense straw yellow colour with a faint tinge of old rose. Beautifully pure, elegant, floral Pinot Grigio. The bouquet is full and fruity. A touch of almonds and vanilla, a hint of fruit and spice on the palate, a smooth and dry full-bodied white which is particularly harmonious and accessib (6 x 75 cl)

Cesconi Pinot Grigio Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT
Description: The Pinot Grigio from Cesconi has a very intense but clean bouquet with hints of jasmine and white fruits. The palate is full, fat and creamy with delicious ripe pear fruits and gentle spice. As with all the Cesconi wines, this has a perfect balance and elegance with a long finish. It shows the elegance that the late growing season brought to white wines in this part of Italy, and this elegance is retained and highlighted by the move to a Stelvin closure. The four Cesconi brothers have transformed their family estate, situated in Trento, northeast Italy, in the past decade. Whereas they previously sold all their fruit to the local co-op, today they are making some of Italy’s most exciting white wines. (6 x 75 cl)
