Mezzacorona Pinot Grigio RISERVA Trentino
Description: Cantine Mezzacorona Societa Cooperativa Agricola was founded in 1904 and was one of the first growers associations to be organised in Italy. It comprises 2,400 hectares of vineyards in Trentino and Alto Adige. All vineyards are cultivated in accordance with the 'Integrated Farm Management' policy, to obtain healthier products respecting the natural biological balance. Mezzacorona offers a comprehensive choice of DOC Trentino wines produced by the best oenologists within Gruppo Mezzacorona. Vinified at controlled temperature with refinement in barriques and barrels, the Mezzacorona wines exemplify one of the most well-known wine making traditions in the world. The grapes are hand-picked and delivered within a few hours to the cellar where they are then selected, immediately pressed, and sent to the maceration phase, done in the cold and with soft pressure. Finally, the wine is aged in oak. This Pinot Grigio is a light yellow colour with a complex fragrance of well-matured fruit, harmonised showing notes deriving from the refined wood. Guicciardini Strozzi Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva
Description: This Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG reserve is produced only from the best vintages, using Vernaccia grapes selected for a high degree of natural sugar. The process known as criomacerazione is used, under which the destemmed grapes and their juice are left together at low temperature for about 20 hours to extract aromas from the skin. Then the grapes are softly crushed and the must is first fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and then transferred to barrique of prized French oak where it completes the fermentation process. The wood aging is prolonged until June of the following year. Before being sold the wine is seasoned in bottles for about six months. The wine obtained through this process develops harmoniously complex aromas and rich and persistent flavors. Designed for lovers of vigorous whites, the wine is suited to long aging. (6 x 75 cl)

In 1952 Bruno Lunelli and his family took control and the name of the comapny was changed to Ferrari F.lli Lunelli and it has gone from strength to strength. Adopting the traditional method for producing sparkling wine this 100% Chardonnay is left an incredible 8 years on its own lees before bottling. Description: A wine of great distinction, produced only in the finest years; the slightly over-ripe verdicchio grapes are its remarkable resource. Combined with a lenghty maturation, these grapes yield a remarkably aromatic nose which releases intense scents of tosted almonds, citrus, honey, and crusted bread; with cellaring, the bouquet will develop still greater complexity. On the palate, it immediately expands to astounding richness and suppleness, balanced, rich and seemingly endless. Hand -picking of the grapes, which had been left on the vine an extra two weeks until slightly over ripe; they were immediately lightly pressed, with no use of SO2, followed by 20-day fermentation at 20°C in stainless steel. The wine rested on the fine less until spring and underwent natural malolastic fermentation in early summer (6 x 75 cl)

Umberto Cesari RISERVA Sangiovese di Romagna DOC
Description: For Umberto Cesari, stubborn by nature, producing good wine is a family tradition with deep roots in this area of Romagna. It is here that Umberto and his wife Giuliana chose to start their Company in 1965 by buying 20 Hectares of land in the hills between 200 and 380 Metres above sea level which extend from the Via Emilia towards the Apennine Mountains and the border of Tuscany. From then on, he has continually expanded and increased the quality of his wines and today the Company extends over an area of 100 hectares. Here it is divided into distinct vineyards of La Casetta, Parolino, Ca Grande and Laurento. The Sangiovese grapes behind this red wine come from areas especially suited for the production of this great red wine. The vineyards are located around the hills surrounding Castel San Pietro and Imola and great care is taken from the vine to the winery. Only the best clusters are made into wine, and fermentation takes place in conditioned tanks with temperature control. This is followed by 24 months' ageing, partly in Slavonia and Allier oak. This Sangiovese di Romagna Riserva has an intense ruby red colour with a touch of pomegranate, while the aroma is vinous, intense, with a touch of violet. The flavour is full, rich and dry, showing good tannic structure with a pleasing finish. Available in Magnum bottles. (12 x 75 cl)
