Description: The term "recioto" probably comes from the dialect word "recia" which means the upper and outer parts of the bunches of grapes. These "recie" are the grapes which are ripest and which enjoy the best exposure to the sun. The word "recia" may be derived from the Latin word "racemus" which means bunch. Our opinion is that the word comes from the Latin "recisus" that means a bunch cutted and let down to dry. Recioto is the standard (6 x 75 cl)

Cantina Di Barro LO FLAPI Vallee D'Aosta
Description: In local dialect Di Barro means of the barrels. The name is formed from the first syllables Barmaz and Rossan, the former owners as well as parents-in-law of the current owner, who grew wine in the family vineyards in Monte Torrette. Made from the local Moscato grape it is is harvested late (between September and November selecting only the ripest grapes, after pressing in December the wine ferments slowly for a year reaching. Interestingly Flapi means 'skin shrink' in the local dialect. Available in 37.5 cl Half Bottles. (12 x 37.5 cl)
