Description:
Bright grenadine colour. Nose of red fruits, strawberry and slightly mineral. Dry and fruity, with balanced acidity. Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Franc & Merlot. Fermented in stainless steel vats under controlled temperature Quinta do Covela has been in existence since the 16th Century. The schistous slopes of the Port area give way to the granite soils of the Entre-Douro e Minho. These poor soils, excellent exposure, special microclimate and mix of grapes varieties all mean that Quinta do Covela has its own very specific terroir. Aged in French Allier and Vosges barriques for 1 year. Quinta do Covela has been in existence since the 16th Century.
