Description: The 8 hectare vineyard was purchased by the present owners, Vignobles Trocard, in 1976 with the aim of producing great Bordeaux. Situated in the heart of Lalande de Pomerol, on deep gravely top soil with iron pan in the subsoil has produced wines of great character. The wine is a blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc and is aged on average 14 months in oak casks. This is a dark ruby, velvety coloured wine with Nervy, but complex bouquet, a long lived flavour and a subtle amount of tannin. Available in Magnum Bottles. (6 x 1.5 Litres)

Description: Chateau Garraud is located 40 km north-east of Bordeaux in the heart of the Pomerol and Saint Emilion country. The Chateau Garraud vineyard is the largest and one of the better known amongst the Appellation Lalande-de-Pomerol. The vineyard has the advantage of different soil types which allow the wines a greater complexity and ageing potential. Chateau Perron Lalande-de-Pomerol AOC
Description: Having been in the Massonie family for three generations, Perron is now the responsibility of Betrand Massonie, whose drive, passion, technical skill and respect for the property's exceptional terroir have contributed massively to its recent renaissance. Chateau Perron's tiny vineyard is looked after with all the care that one might devote to a garden. The soil in betwen the rows of vines is either turned over or grassed over. De-budding takes place in April or May, and in June or July, the eastern facing vines are deleafed and the vines in general are thinned out. The vineyard is protected from disease and pests according to the lutte raisonnee principles that dictate only using the minimum quantity of product and only when necessary. Picking is done entirely by hand and the gapes are sorted manually when they arrive at the vat house. Vinification takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Each plot is vinified seperately and vatting takes between 3 to 5 weeks. Chateau Perron is finally aged in French oak barrels from a selection of the country's top coopers. This tiny property has become, in a very short space of time, one of the top wines in Lalande de Pomerol. A blend of 80% merlot and a little 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon it is a deep, brilliant, purple colour shot through with violet tints. Masses of black fruit and toasty vanilla on the nose characterise this is a big, powerful wine with ripe, velvety tannins.

La Cave Du Vin Blanc De Morgex et De La Salle VINI ESTREMI Vallee D'Aosta
Description: The region of Valle d'Aosta has an ancient history of winemaking, even though the steep mountain slopes and harsh, cold climate might suggest otherwise. Historically however, wine production from the region was confined to individual 'backyard vineyards' of usually no more than 2,500 square meters. In 1983, thanks in part to the efforts of the region's local government, these efforts were officially acknowledged and the Cooperative estate, Cave du Vin Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle, was born. This cooperative took control of its newly built winery, well-equipped with all the technology needed to produce high-quality fine wines and began producing the region's traditional wine varieties. The local growers of the co-op are for the most part retired persons who tend their vines as they would a garden, following specific guidelines set up by the cooperative itself. Today the Cave du Vin Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle produces over 140,000 bottles annually of 5 different traditional Valle D'Aosta wines. This unfailing commitment to the Valle D'Aosta wine-making has literally saved the region's history and culture from extinction, making these beautiful wines, and a part of Valle D'Aosta's culture.
