Cantina di Custoza Pinot Grigio Garda DOC
Description: Fresh and fruity with a clean and crisp taste. Pleasant length. Maturation and Vinification The grapes are harvested from 5 to 8 year old vines in vineyards located in S.Giorgio in Salici. They are then fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks and there the wine remains for a period of 5 months for ageing. (6 x 75 cl)

Cantina di Custoza VAL dei MOLINI Bianco di Custoza Garda DOC
Description: A rich, full bodied wine with flavours of honeydew melon and other tropical fruits. Grape Varieties Tocai Friuliano, Garganega, Riesling Italico, Chardonnay & Trebbiano Toscano. Maturation and Vinification The grapes are harvested from 15 to 20 year old vines in vineyards located in Sommacampagna in Custoza. They are then fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks with partial malolatic fermentation. 90% of the wine is aged for 5 months in stainless steel tanks whilst the remaining 5% is aged for 5 months in 10hl barrels. Maturation and Vinification The grapes are harvested from 10 to 20 year old vines in vineyards located in Custoza, Salione. Description: Ruby flecked, deep red. Classic varietal characteristics layered with hints of vanilla and oak. Full flavoured in the mouth, exceptionally well structured with a fine, lengthy finish. Maturation and Vinification The grapes are harvested from 10 to 20 year old vines located in Salionze in the Mincio Valley. They are vinified using modern winemaking techniques at the state of the art Custoza winery and also undergo full malolactic fermention. The wine is then aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks before bottling, where it then spends another 2 months before release. (6 x 75 cl)

Gallo uses only used large barrels for the Pinot Grigio to ensure the oakiness does not smother the delicacy of the fruit. Gianfranco Gallo is a perfectionist. Not for him the unoaked, over-sweetened simplicity of many white wines from Friuli; he is more interested in richness, texture, length, complexity and the ability to age.
