Abbaye de Sylva Plana LA CLOSERAIE Faugeres
Description: The blend of La Closeraie is Carignan & Grenache backed up by weighty Mourvedre and Syrah. The Carignan and Syrah undergo carbonic maceration and the Mourvedre and Grenache receive a traditional vinification, with long cuvaisons in all cases. The wine is dark, rustic, spicy and chewy-thick while the nose is typical of many Faugeres wines with empyreumatic fragrances of toast, roasted coffee and smoke combined with aromas of red berries. Chateau Tour De Grenet Lussac-St-Emilion
Description: This is a wine made to be enjoyed. The substance is ripe but not too jam-like, the structure has a delicate character, while the wine is imposing overall. It is velvety smooth, with good colour, with fruity and floral aromas. The tower, built in the 19th century, gave its name to the vineyard. The property belonged to the Abbaye de Faize in the 16th century. In 1970, it became the property of the BRUNOT family. As a result of its remarkably sunny position on one of the highest slopes of the region and of its clay-limestone soil, the vines produce grapes which give a full bodied wine , full of vigour that keep extremely well. Available in 1.5 Litre Magnum bottles. (6 x 1.5 Litres) Price: £172.65
